Rosa Ventures Appoints Christopher J. Hopkins as Chief Financial Officer
June 3, 2026
Toronto, Ontario – June 3rd, 2026 Rosa Ventures Ltd. (“Rosa” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce the appointment of Christopher J. Hopkins, BCom, CPA (CA), MBA, as Chief Financial Officer.
Mr. Hopkins brings more than 30 years of senior financial leadership experience with publicly listed resource companies. He has served as Chief Financial Officer of multiple TSX-listed producers, including U.S. Silver Corporation (silver producer with operations in Idaho), Excellon Resources Inc. (silver producer with operations in Mexico), and Candax Energy Inc. (oil and gas producer with operations in Tunisia). In these roles he oversaw financial reporting, performance management, corporate development, and capital markets activities.
His public-markets track record includes leading original listing applications on the TSX and NYSE Amex, establishing TSX-compliant corporate governance frameworks, and successfully navigating a six-month TSX continued-listing review that preserved the issuer’s main-board listing. He has marketed equity financings raising $25 million, led an IPO that raised $66 million and a secondary offering of $45 million, and negotiated a US$50 million debt facility with an international bank. He has also directed M&A processes covering target identification, due diligence, deal and tax structuring, and integration planning, and executed a financial restructuring that improved net working capital by $21 million without formal creditor protection.
Mr. Hopkins holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Toronto, a CPA, CA designation (top 10 percent on the qualifying examination), and an MBA from the Schulich School of Business at York University, where he graduated first in class and on the Dean’s List. He has taught MBA-level Finance at the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto, and Accounting at Schulich.
“Chris’s deep experience with TSX-listed mining companies, public listings, equity and debt financings, and corporate governance is exactly what Rosa needs as we advance our Chilean copper projects and complete the reverse takeover that will take the Company public,” said Ned Nadima, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Rosa Ventures. “His practical knowledge of the reporting, compliance, and investor-relations requirements of Canadian public markets will strengthen our platform as we build a portfolio of copper porphyry assets in the Andes.”
“Rosa has assembled an attractive portfolio of copper opportunities in a premier jurisdiction and is taking the disciplined steps required to become a listed company,” said Mr. Hopkins. “I look forward to supporting the team on financial reporting, capital markets readiness, and the governance framework that will serve shareholders after listing.”
Rosa is currently advancing optioned copper porphyry projects in northern Chile, including the San Lázaro and Polanco properties, and is pursuing a reverse takeover transaction to become a publicly listed company.
